The Douglas Shire’s much anticipated new mountain bike skills track, located directly behind the Port Douglas community hall, or Raider Park rugby field is now ready to roll following the official opening earlier this morning.

Douglas Shire mayor Michael Kerr, Councillors, parents and children were all on hand to mark the occasion.

Hundreds of local children took the opportunity to test the new trail, with lots of smiles an early indication of the popularity of the park.

The colour and the action from today's opening of the mountain bike skills park.
