Cyclist critical following a collision with a truck
Emergency services are attending a serious traffic crash on the Captain Cook Highway between Mossman and Port Douglas.
A cyclist is being treated on the scene for critical injuries after colliding with a truck near the intersection of the highway and the Mossman Mount Molloy Road.
Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed a critical care paramedic was rushed to the scene on the crash just before 8.00am this morning.
Newsport understands the cyclist is in a critical condition but QAS could not provide a detailed assessment of the patient’s injuries.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative travel route.
