Port Douglas and Mossman will have another electricity provider to choose from following today’s launch of Bright Spark Power, an independent and 100% Australian owned and operated electricity retailer.

Bright Spark Power chose the Douglas Shire to launch its Queensland retail electricity plan and says it will provide the Best Rate Guarantee in Port Douglas, Mossman, Cairns and surrounding areas of Far North Queensland.

Bright Spark Power Managing Director, Arran Coughlan said: “We were surprised to see that despite being able to choose their electricity retailer, businesses and households in Douglas Shire and much of regional Queensland were actually offered very little real choice, from so few providers in the market.”

“We are delighted to be bringing our ‘Best Rate Guarantee’ on the 12-month market retail contract to Douglas Shire. We respect our customers time, and value their loyalty - our best rate is offered to all contract customers, not just our new customers.”

He added switching to Bright Spark Power is simple and straightforward. Once your order is submitted online, the local support team will take care of everything for you, including contacting your existing electricity provider and arranging your meter read, so you don’t have to.

Bright Spark Power is an Australian-owned and operated business that openly supports and intentionally invests in local Australian suppliers and businesses.
