Bendigo Bank’s new location adds a modern touch
BUSINESS

A new location, new look, and new feel for the Bendigo Bank in Port Douglas.
On Friday the branch held its official Grand Opening, after moving locations from the Port Village shopping complex to the Saltwater Building on Macrossan street earlier this month.
Port Douglas and Mossman Senior Branch Manager, Angela Whittaker, said the new location gave them higher foot traffic and the new modern design reflected a new way of banking with no barriers between customers and staff.

“It’s a more modern-looking space, it's more open, there are no barriers, it's more customer-friendly,” she said.
“It’s a new way of banking, people do their banking differently now.”
Richard Fennel, Bendigo Executive of Consumer Banking, Gavin Holden, Queensland State Manager and Kieran Herlihy, Regional Manager were in attendance to officially launch the new branch.
While now in a smaller premises, Ms Whittaker said they are still a full-service bank, however, no longer have an ATM on site.
“However, Bendigo Bank customers can use ANZ, Westpac, NAB and Commonwealth Bank’s ATM for free,” Ms Whittaker said.
Bendigo Bank is the only bank in the region to offer branches in both Mossman and Port Douglas.
“It is the same team that works in Port Douglas and Mossman, so we keep it all together.”
