Douglas netball teams were raring to go as they hit the courts on Tuesday night following a two-week break.

Juniors

This week in the junior competition, the Stingers went up against the Storm.

Some great ball skills were put on display by the young players. Both teams got out to a good start before the Storm took off to claim to win 48 – 7.

The best and fairest of the match went to storms’ Izzy Teasdale and players choice votes went to Nichola Lane and Imogen Lynne.

Seniors

In the senior’s division one competition, the Drifters took on the Sharks. The Sharks got out to a dominating early lead and held it to the end, winning 42 - 14.

Best and fairest for the match was awarded to Drifters’ Jess Shapter while players choices were Sharks’ Shannen Taylor and Drifters’ Alicia Cann.

In the second division one game the Cougars went up against the Crocs in a fast-paced match.

After a low scoring first quarter by both teams, the Cougars took off with the Crocs hot on their tail until a dominating final quarter by the Cougars saw them seal the win 48 – 27.

The player's choices for best on court went to Julianne Watkins and Naomi Glenn.

In division two, the Magpies versed Rattle. The game began relatively even with the Magpies keeping their noses in front with a big last quarter sealing the deal, final score 42 – 23 to the Magpies.

Best and fairest was awarded to Magpies’ Ebony Schonenberger while players choice was Kyah O’Sullivan from Rattle and Georgia Crimmins from the Magpies.

In the second division two match, Poison faced off with the Panthers.

The match was fairly close until a strong third quarter by the poison clinch them the victory, 23 – 15.

Best and fairest went to Poisons’ Bridgett Myott while players choice went to Poisons’ Hannah Jacobsen and Panthers’ Ebony Dolphin.
