Woman dies in Mulligan Highway crash

A 57-year-old Gordonvale
 woman has died in a single vehicle crash near Mount Carbine on Sunday afternoon.

Just before 4:00pm, a Toyota Hilux was traveling along the Mulligan Highway when it left the road and rolled over Harbord Creek Bridge at Desailly.

The female driver died at the scene.

A male passenger was airlifted to Cairns Hospital with head injuries while a female passenger was taken to Mareeba Hospital.

The road was closed while emergency services responded.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are underway.
