Business expo a boon for the shire

The Douglas Chamber of Commerce and Douglas Shire Council have joined forces to present Douglas Business Expo, which is being held on Friday March 26 from 7am-12pm at the Port Douglas Community Hall. The event is free.

A major thrust of the Expo is to connect business with government and industry experts to share knowledge and to discuss ideas for the future of business in our shire.

The Expo has attracted a diverse range of speakers:

  • Kupa Teao, Chief Executive Officer, Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation
  • Mr Robert Soyra, Director of Research and Digital, Construction Skills Queensland
  • Ms Leanne Kruss, Regional Manager, Queensland Agricultural Workforce Network
  • Mr Nick Trompf, Executive Chairman, Advance Cairns
  • Ms Maree Adshead, Queensland Small Business Commissioner.


A diverse range of Trade Booth stallholders will be a feature at the Expo including:
