Easter celebrations will shine bright in 2021 under the lights of the iconic Mossman raintrees.

Following the success of the Christmas night markets in December, organisers are back with Easter Night Markets under the raintrees on Friday 26 March.

The Cotter’s Market will feature 28 art and craft stalls selling an array of locally handcrafted gifts and five food vans with a range of delicacies.

Night Market Coordinator, Robyn Frahn, encouraged everyone to bring a picnic blanket or chair and enjoy a fun family night out.

“The fairy lights of the raintrees are so beautiful, they provide an amazing ambience for night markets,” she said.

“We want them to be different to the Saturday Mossman Markets and the Port Douglas Sunday Markets.

“We encourage people to wander around the markets and have dinner from the many food vans on their picnic blankets and deck chairs and enjoy the ambience of the raintree lights.”

And it won’t be the last of the night markets for 2021 with organisers ready to bring more events to the iconic location.

“The Committee is proposing to host four-night markets per year under the raintrees; Easter, Christmas in July, a Food Night Market, and Christmas,” Ms Frahn said.

The Easter night market will kick off from 5:00pm under the raintrees on Foxton Avenue in Mossman.
