UPDATE: 

The 17-year-old boy missing from Mossman has been found safe on Cape Kimberley Beach in the Daintree Rainforest.

EARLIER:

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a 17-year-old boy reported missing from Mossman.

A police spokesperson said the boy was last seen around 10:00am on Friday 28 May in the Mossman area wearing black shorts and a black t-shirt.

“He is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cm tall with long blonde hair that is potentially tied up, and is known to visit areas including Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge, Julatten and Cairns,” said police.

“Police and family hold concerns for the boy’s welfare as he has a condition that requires medication.”
