The Port Douglas Reef Raiders rugby union team clawed their way back when it counted most and salvaged a 27-all draw against Barron Trinity Bulls.

After two losses, this is Raiders’ first points of the season and they are currently fourth on the table.

They are at home to Southside Crusaders on Saturday (4pm) at the Port Douglas Sporting Complex.

There were tries aplenty in the other matches: Wanderers thrashed Brothers 74-0, scoring 11 tries in the process; and JCU Mariners ran in 10 tries in their 61-21 hammering of Southside Crusaders.
