The desperate search to locate a 65-year-old Laura man thought attacked and taken by a crocodile in the waters near Kennedy Bend camping area has entered its third day.

Detective Acting Inspector Jason Chetham confirmed just moments ago to Newsport that the dive squad, SES personnel and Department of Environment and Science officers are all on scene and continue to search for the missing man.

The search started Saturday evening after emergency services received a call around 3.30pm that a man had yelled before disappearing from the banks of the Kennedy River while fishing at Lakefield National Park.
