Spooky Port Douglas

Daring kids can join a spine-tingling adventure on select nights from May 12th to May 21st.

Circus Wonderland - A Neverland Adventure

Enter a world of enchantment and wonder at Circus Wonderland on Thursday, May 18th.

Join the adventure of Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and the Pirates as they come to life in a fun-filled circus experience for the whole family.

Be amazed and captivated by the world-class cast of acrobats performing astounding feats and hilarious antics that will keep you enthralled.

Macrossan Street Parade: A colourful extravaganza for all ages

Start the celebration early on Friday May 19th with the famous Kids Disco on Macrossan Street, which runs from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, which leads into the fabulous street parade.

Get your kids grooving, singing, and having fun as DJ ACE plays kid-friendly sing-along songs, well-known dance hits, and grooves with dance moves at the family-friendly parade viewing area at the top end of town.

This free, pre-street parade event is the perfect warm-up for the little ones and will have kids of all ages strutting their stuff and having a good time, right up until the floats start their way at 6.30pm.

Stick around for the highlight of the event - the Macrossan Street Parade, celebrating living your best life in the Douglas Shire.

The spectacle of vibrant colours and incredible performances will leave your whole family in awe as you marvel at the motorised floats, bands, dancers and more.

But the fun doesn't stop there - make sure you stay for the fun fair, entertainment, and a stunning fireworks display at around 8.00pm to cap off an unforgettable day.

Fun and frolic by the sea

The next day, Saturday May 20th, it’s time to get up early with the fam and head to Four Mile Beach for an action-packed day of fun and excitement for locals and visitors alike.

From 9.00am to 3.00pm, the beach will be transformed into a lively playground, featuring beach cricket, a treasure hunt, the famous sandcastle competition, beach busking, salsa on the beach, food trucks, and a community market.

In addition to all these exciting activities, Windswell will be offering free water sports activities every hour from 8.00am to 12.00pm.

Thrill-seekers of all ages can experience the rush of tube rides or experience the more relaxed stand-up paddle boarding and glide across the water. And when the wind picks up, Windswell will be ready with kite wings to cruise the waves on stand-up paddle boards or land boards.

Finish your day relaxing and washing the salt off in the cooling waters that flow down from the Mossman Gorge with a special Rainforest River Stand-Up Paddle Magic tour at 3.00pm.

Pooch Party

Looking for some family fun that includes your furry friends? Then head on over to the 'pawty' on Saturday 20th May between 10.00am and 2.00pm.

This event is perfect for animal lovers and their four-legged companions, with a day of games, treats, entertainment and prizes that are sure to get tails wagging.

There's even a chance to win prizes for categories such as Cutest/Ugliest Dog, Naughtiest Dog, Dog with Waggiest Tail, Best Dog Trick, Best Dressed Dog, Best Groomed Dog, Owner/Dog Lookalike, and Douglas Top Dog.

Douglas Dash: A family-friendly 5K for a cause

Get ready for a day of fitness and fun with the Douglas Dash on Sunday May 21st with the whole family.

Lace up your running shoes and join in on this exciting five kilometre run that takes in the breathtaking scenery of Four Mile Beach before winding through the rugged terrain of the Flagstaff Hill walking trail.

Not only will you get to enjoy the scenic views, but you'll also be supporting a great cause. The Douglas Dash is a fundraiser for TARC, an organisation dedicated to helping the community.
