Since its inception in November 2019, the Mondays have been a hit, thanks to their truly unique South East Asian cuisine that continues to delight patrons to this day.

General Manager Jessica Whitworth attributes the success of the Locals Night to their focus on consistency, combined with a menu that is refreshed frequently to offer something new each time.

The nights also feature live music by the talented local musician Shannon Hunter. And to complete the experience, Koko's offers a tantalising selection of signature cocktails, including the ‘Lychee & Lime Icicle’, the ‘Som Tum Sling’, and the ‘Lemongrass, Lime, and Thai Basil Mojito’ - all designed to refresh and rejuvenate your senses.

“We have a great number of regulars who support our Locals Night and often return for lunch as a great quiet spot during the week,” Ms Whitworth added.

“People love the sharing menu, which offers unique flavours and a different dining experience, and there are always comments about how fabulous Shannon is.”

Community Support & Exciting Changes Coming to Koko's

In 2020, during the pandemic, the restaurant also showed its support for the community by preparing takeaway meals for free.

This was supported by a number of their regular customers, providing produce and containers for them to use, including Channi from Sizzling Wheels, Keithea from Port Douglas Real Estate, Reward Hospitality, and Simon George.

As they are about to change the menu in May, with new Head Chef Simon Woods putting together a tantalising new platter, it is an exciting time for Koko’s after a challenging past year. They hope to roll out the new menu by May 22nd.
