Just days out from Easter there has been a wonderful development about the lost and wandering Pretty Beach dog that has captured the hearts and minds of Douglas Shire Council residents over the past few weeks.

Newsport can happily reveal the lonely pooch has been located and secured and is now in the safe company of Jessie Goetze.

Jessie, along with others including Carey, Kirsty, Leisa, Nicole and Jo each played a leading role in ensuring this story had a wonderful outcome.

“We have some incredible news to share,” Jessie Goetze said moments ago.

“Under the guidance of 5 amazing women I was able to gain the trust of the Pretty Beach dog and he has now been secured.

“He’s downstairs in my house right now.

“Just to think he wasn’t out there lost for one more night makes my heart so happy.”

Recently released youtube footage shows emotional scenes as Jessie holds food out to the dog, and finally after some patience, the dog slowly comes over and starts eating.

The next step is to find the owner and to start the re-homing process.

He will also need a foster home and an immediate carer for the next few nights.
