Man dies, another suffers injuries after early morning car accident on Mossman Mount Molloy Road

A 32-year-old man has died and a second male has received minor injuries after a car crashed into a tree on Mossman Mount Molloy Road near the intersection of Euluma Creek Road early this morning.

Emergency crews quickly arrived on site around 4.15am to attend to the single-vehicle crash but Police said the man, a passenger, died from his injuries at the scene.

The 25-year-old driver was taken to Mossman Hospital in a stable condition with hand injuries.

Police have advised motorist diversions remain in place at the accident site while the Forensic Crash Unit continues to investigate the matter.

Anyone with information or dashcam of the crash, is urged to contact Police.

Meantime, in seperate news, Police confirmed a female in her 20s was transported in a stable condition to Mossman Hospital with a leg injury following a buggy rollover yesterday on Mount Perseverance Road in the Julatten area at around 1pm.
