Experienced duo again set to guide Raiders
STRONG COMBINATION
The mighty Port Douglas Reef Raiders will seek more consistency this season following the re-appointment of head coach Stan Afeaki.
“Stan is a great asset to our club having played rugby all around the world,” a club representative told Newsport.
“His knowledge and commitment is something we should all strive towards.
“2023 is looking to be a great year and we are so lucky to have these great men on our side.”
Afeaki has formerly represented Tonga at 15s and 7s level. He’s also played premier rugby in both Auckland and Sydney.
Jason Simiona will again assist Afeaki and also double as team manager.
Those interested in playing for the Raiders should visit the club’s Facebook page or contact the coaches direct to express their interest.
