In a display of unity and cultural pride, the streets of Mossman came alive today as the Douglas Shire's NAIDOC Week celebrations reached their grand finale with the annual street parade.
Themed 'For Our Elders,' this year's NAIDOC Week celebrations aimed to pay homage to the wisdom, knowledge, and guidance of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders.
Starting on Foxton Avenue and heading south along Front Street, the street parade delighted spectators with traditional art, colourful costumes and decorated floats.
As the parade reached its conclusion, the celebrations continued with a family fun day at Bubu Kinkari, or George Davis Park.
