Brae Agrums, Zayne Moore and Kobe Saxton have waved the flag for junior Aussie Rules in the Far North after competing for Peninsula under-15s at the recent state champs in Ipswich.
In an added bonus Zayne and Brae had the honour of being named captain and vice captain of the team.
“All boys played so well up against the tough competition down there in Ipswich, 250 of the best players selected from all over QLD,” Brae’s mother, Kate Agrum told Newsport.

“Brae was awarded the coaches award and received a footy signed by the whole team. He was also selected as a shadow to represent QLD at the future national Championships.”
Brae, born and bred here in Mowbray has had an unstoppable passion for AFL since he was four. Kate revealed he is very committed and trains and plays every day.
Meantime, a talented local bowls player is just days away from taking the next step in his rising career.
Mossman Bowls club lawn bowler Malachy McTaggary continues to put the finishing touches on his preparation ahead of his participation at a major nation-wide bowls event.
McTaggary will hit the Gold Coast in the coming days to contest the Australian bowls open from June 10-23.
“We wish him the best of luck and know he will do us proud,” a Mossman Bowls club representative said.
