Four Mile Beach makes Tripadvisor regional Top 10
TRAVELLERS’ AWARDS

Tripadvisor has announced that Four Mile Beach, Port Douglas, is among the 10 best beaches in the South Pacific region, rated by its contributors in its 2023 annual Travellers' Choice Awards.
The world's largest travel guidance platform said it had analysed tens of millions of reviews submitted by millions of global travellers over the past 12-months.
Four Mile Beach rated number six in the list of 10, which included seven Australian beaches and locations in the Society Islands, Fiji and New Zealand.
Tripadvisor’s award page said of Four Mile Beach: “A beautiful stretch of beach offering a terrific walking opportunity. Lined by palm trees, white sand and shallow waters.”
“Looking at the quality and quantity of ratings for beach experiences, Tripadvisor was able to determine travellers' absolute favourite beaches of the year, providing the best guidance for everyone looking to plan their own unforgettable beach trips this year,” Tripadvisor’s head of editorial, Sarah Firshein said.
The Travellers’ Choice awards consist of several sections –including World, US, South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and Caribbean.
“Emerging from the cold, dark days of winter in the Northern Hemisphere, travellers have exotic escapes on the mind.
“The most popular beaches among Tripadvisor reviewers make for an exciting list with something for every type of beach dweller, from sun worshippers to adventure seekers and wildlife enthusiasts.”
From more than 4,000 reviews of Four Mile Beach, Tripadvisor’s rating of the popular spot sits at 4.5 out of five stars.
