A proud Property Shop legacy
BUSINESS FEATURE

From entering the parade atop a flat-bed truck in 2008, to proud legacy Carnivale sponsors for numerous years, the history of Property Shop Port Douglas and Mossman has become entwined with the Carnivale Street Parade.
Alan Crossman, Principal of Property Shop, expressed the team's appreciation for the historical significance of the Macrossan Street Parade, (now almost three decades) and the commitment to being a local community event.
“Real estate is very much a business of people, and as such is an integral part and linked to the changes and history of the community,” he said.
“The success of Property Shop was born from the coming together of people who love living in the shire, each successful in their own fields. Together we created what is today.
The Team
With each person bringing their own unique expertise to the table, a motivated team was formed at the heart of the company.
Leanne Anderson, with her meticulous eye for numbers and interpersonal skills, laid the sturdy foundation as the office manager.
Monica Stievano’s unwavering dedication to clients and a compassionate nature towards the shire's tenants, created a perfect combination for nurturing a thriving Property Management portfolio.
Kaz Stanaway, skilled in creative design and marketing, sowed the seeds of the company's promotional content, enabling people to fulfil their property objectives.
And Principal Alan Crossman, with his structured approach, strategic mindset, and visionary outlook, propelled property sales and management to new heights in the area.
Evolution and expansion
In the span of nearly two decades, as economic circumstances have changed, as locals have checked in and out, and as the town has flourished, the company has evolved and expanded.
Along the journey, the team has welcomed an influx of talent, breathing new life into its ranks.
Lars Pedersen, Carmel Twomey, and Taylor Stievano, brought with them a local connection and invaluable expertise, bolstering the Property Management team. Recently Belle Moffett has also joined the team bringing her calm professionalism.
At the Four Mile office, Ritsuko Dickinson is a seasoned sales professional with a level-headed approach and a vast network of contacts.
Nicole Dwyer's experience and intelligence have expanded the company's reach, making her one of the most accomplished property sales experts in the shire.
And not to forget the indispensable skills of Caitlin Carli, a numbers whiz who brings exceptional efficiency to the sales team.
In more recent years, the Sales team welcomed market-savvy Rosie Wang, whose expertise assisted property owners in Port Douglas to achieve their goals.
Matthew Essex, drawing upon a decade of experience in English property sales, infused the team with sharp business acumen, professionalism, and dedication.
Also in property sales, Kurt Frietas, a local family man and keen observer of the greens, showcased his knack for numbers and looks after commercial business in addition to residential.
At your service
With a blend of creativity, dedication, professionalism, intuition, and hospitality, the professionals of the Property Shop have over 200 years of combined experience.
Alan emphasised the remarkable evolution of the industry, particularly through technological advancements.
“This has made it easier for independent agencies to have the same wide reach and audience as the big franchises, while keeping adaptability and a fresh perspective,” Mr Crossman said.
“Property Shop Port Douglas and Mossman would like to thank the community for its 20 years of support, with the promise that they'll continue to support the local community in return, with their dedication and experience.”
