Families and children encouraged to get map and track down local toy sheep during fun initiative
SHEEP HUNT

A popular local initiative created to foster community spirit within Mossman and to celebrate the upcoming Christmas festive period has returned.
The popular Nativity sheep trail kicked off on Wednesday and will run until November 30.
Similar to last year children and families are encouraged to get an entry form and then make their way along the trail to identify the whereabouts and name of each small toy sheep.
Participating shops in Mossman will have a cute little sheep, wearing a name tag, displayed somewhere in their business. They will also have entry forms and will display a poster at the front of their shop.
Once the participant has located all sheep on the trail they can then drop their completed form into Bartolo’s Store in Sugarland Arcade.
All entries that have the correct names will go into the draw to win a family Christmas gift basket.
The winner will be awarded the Christmas gift basket during Carols under the Raintrees on Sunday, December 3.
“Come and support your local community and see if you can find all the sheep,” event coordinator Janelle Shrimpton said.
