Preparations ramping up for Circle of Plenty event on November 22

A circle of plenty event focusing on sustainable food cultivation, community engagement, and the joy of shared learning will be held at Mossman Botanic Garden's food garden site on November 22.
The event will aim to inspire and educate individuals about the art of growing food in a communal setting.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to share the creation of a captivating food garden spiral while engaging in an atmosphere of learning, sharing, and connecting. This event will go beyond just gardening. It will be about building a thriving community united by a common passion.
Situated at the Mossman Botanic Garden and supported by local organisations such as the Mossman Community Centre, Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre and local garden clubs, the circle of plenty event is poised to be a remarkable day of growth and collaboration.
The event will cater to individuals with diverse spaces, whether it's a modest backyard or an extensive landscape.
Attendees will acquire adaptable techniques that can be implemented in various settings, allowing them to embark on their own organic, regenerative food cultivation journey.
The circle of plenty event will not just be about cultivating gardens; it's about fostering connections and nurturing a sense of shared abundance.
Educational talks, community Lunch, community art Exhibits, local artists on site, live entertainment and a raffle with great prizes will also be held on the day.
The success of the project relies on community involvement," a Circle of Plenty spokesperson told Newsport.
"Local volunteers have played a significant role in site preparation, including ripping, compost and wood chip placement, and overall readiness for the artistic transformation."
The event gets underway from 8am on November 22.
