Teenager arrested, charged with 11 offences, including alleged crimes in Port Douglas

A Wonga Beach man will front Cairns Magistrates Court today after being charged with alleged domestic violence offences relating to an incident a number of days ago.
Police said the 23-year-old man allegedly assaulted a woman known to him, before another woman attempted to de-escalate the situation back on October 11.
Police said he has since been charged with “one count each of strangulation (domestic violence offence) (and) contravention of a domestic violence order”.
