Stacey and Russel celebrate 15 years of delivering service with a smile, the best pies at Mossman Bakery
MILESTONE

One of Mossman’s most loved businesses has celebrated another lap around the sun serving local treats and tasties to their loyal customer base.
Mossman Bakery’s most recent birthday marked the 15th year owners Stacey and Russel Pont have operated the business since acquiring it during the global financial crisis back in 2009.
Since then it has continued to go from strength to strength selling a range of yummy items including the ultimate favourites, a curry, or cheese and bacon pie.
Like a host of Mossman business owners the pair were forced to undergo refurbs after the bakery took a hit following Jasper and December’s floods.
“We’ve taken the time to do a bit of work on the shop since then, which included redoing the floor, a fresh paint job, concreting the back area, adding a bread display and some plants as well,” Stacey told Newsport.
Despite the recent Mossman Mill setback Stacey said there is still room for optimism in the iconic Far North town.
“I feel it’s not all doom and gloom for Mossman the mill closing is actually an opportunity for locals to pursue other potential career options,” She said.
“Mossman will always be a resilient town.”
