Lizard Island, the jewel of Tropical North Queensland and nestled within the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, has unveiled its plans for an extravagant weekend getaway from June 28th to 30th this year.
World renowned, family-owned Champagne Lallier from France’s Aÿ region will make a delicious culinary rendezvous with Australia’s premier caviar producer Yarra Valley Caviar at Lizard Island over this weekend in June, promising a series of masterclasses, tastings and long leisurely dining events at the resort.

Lizard Island General Manager Mark Leslie is thrilled to bring together two premium artisan culinary products for one glorious weekend, aiming to highlight the resort's culinary offerings, through a paddock-to-plate experience.
“Champagne Lallier is a staple pour for our guests, and this event spotlights their latest vintages, expertly paired with caviar sourced from Yarra Valley, Australia’s sole freshwater salmon farm,” Mr Leslie explained. “These esteemed culinary products prioritise small-scale, sustainable production, resulting in a superior – and thoroughly enjoyable - tasting experience.
“The resort’s executive chef, Matt Jenkins, renowned for his expertise in Far North Queensland’s local produce, will skillfully incorporate the caviar into light, fragrant dishes, all enhanced by Champagne Lallier.”
As a finishing touch, a collaboration with renowned ceramists, The McCorry Collection, will craft centrepieces for the dining table, while also providing a unique, tangible memory for guests to take home.
Throughout the weekend, guests at Lizard Island will be treated to a trio of exclusive Champagne and caviar events.
These include a Champagne and Caviar Masterclass where guests will explore the art of pairing Champagne from Aÿ, France, with the finest caviar from Yarra Valley Caviar.
Additionally, a Champagne Dinner will feature Lallier’s premium expressions, complemented by artisanal ingredients that reflect the unique essence of Lizard Island.
Finally, guests can unwind with Casual Canapés & Champagne, enjoying a relaxed beachside affair as they savour a delightful selection of canapés perfectly paired with Champagne Lallier.
