Last updated:

UPDATE: Water has now been restored.
A burst water main on Mudlo Street in Port Douglas this morning has affected the water supply to multiple homes.
Houses on Mudlo, Beryl and Port streets have had their water turned off while Douglas Shire Council workers repair an old pipe with multiple breaks across a six metre stretch of Mudlo Street.
“Crews are busily completing repairs,” a DSC release states.
“We hope to have water restored by 11am."
