More than 1000 people packed out the Cairns Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, December 13, to witness Bodies in Motion Dance School's 25th Annual End of Year Production NYC.

The show boasted a cast of 250 talented Douglas Shire performers aged from 2 years old to adults.

The storyline followed an aspiring dancer who moves to New York City to audition for the infamous Radio City Rockettes.

The production included more than 30 routines, all of which were inspired by features of the city that never sleeps, including Brooklyn Bridge, The Bronx, firefighters, taxi drivers, tourists, Central Park and Time Square.

Bodies in Motion Dance School is now open for 2026 enrolments, head to bodiesinmotion.net.au for more information.
