My old council in Melbourne offered free green waste collection before the introduction of green waste bins. Green waste was left on the footpath neatly bundled, and you organised collection by phone. Perhaps DSC could look into that option?

“Mayor Scomazzon said she would like the Federal Government to help out more so the waste-management system in Douglas Shire can be further improved”. DSC can’t keep expecting the Federal Government to hand out money. Better governance is needed by this Council.
