A Far North Queensland tour operator has captured a stunning video of a 2.5m scrub python.
FNQ Nature Tours filmed the huge reptile during a recent night tour.
“When it comes to native land-based predators in the Australian rainforest, the scrub python is the true master,” the operator commented.
“The largest and heaviest critter you'll find in our jungles!”
Described as “very relaxed”, the python was nowhere near the longest in the rainforest - with some in the region growing to 4m, and on “rare occasions”, even longer than 5m.
