A 39-year-old Cairns man has been arrested after a caravan was stolen from a Port Douglas carpark on Tuesday, March 17.

Cairns police arrested the White Rock man at a Manunda home on Saturday, April 4.

A video was posted online last month of a car being towed out of a resort carpark, with the person who posted it saying his caravan had been taken by an unknown driver.

The White Rock man was also charged with a range of other offences including stealing a box trailer from a Smithfield business on Saturday, March 28, stealing fuel from a Cairns business on Friday, February 27, and Tuesday, March 24, and stealing a number plate on Friday, April 3.

The 39-year-old was charged with five counts of stealing, and is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 21.
