The Douglas NAIDOC Street Parade took place this morning at 11am along Front Street in Mossman, with the smiles and laughter of the participants lighting up the street on a perfect sunny day.
Commemorating 50 years of the National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee, the march featured a host of local Indigenous groups and schoolchildren walking down the main road of Mossman from the Douglas Shire Council chambers to George Davis Park, where the celebrations continued.
