The bistro and lounge at Coral Beach Lodge has entered an exciting new era under brand new name “Alchemy”, celebrating its grand opening last Sunday, May 31, as a welcoming social hub for people to unwind, connect, and celebrate.
The launch marks the official completion of a major transformation and a true passion project for owners Thomas and Kylie Cowlard, who first took over the property in 2022.
Since stepping in, the duo has spearheaded an extensive refurbishment project, breathing new life into the entire establishment, including the central dining and social space.
In 2023, the Cowlards leased the venue out to external operators. However, they have now officially taken back management themselves to steer the space toward their ultimate vision.
With the launch of Alchemy, the owners are looking to shake up the local hospitality landscape.
“We’re incredibly excited to officially open Alchemy and bring a fresh new energy to the Port Douglas dining and social scene,” Mr Cowlard shared.
