Cape York Peninsula Lodge in Bamaga has secured another gold award in the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Tourism Experiences category of the Australian Tourism Awards, its third consecutive win.

David Kempton Member for Cook said he was incredibly proud of the win taken home by Cape York Peninsula Lodge.

“Cook is full of incredible tourism offerings, each unique and will leave a lasting impression and Cape York Peninsula Lodge is just one of our many outstanding tourism providers,” he said.

“Their consistent success over three years reflects the dedication, passion, and hard work of those committed to showcasing authentic cultural experiences in Cape York.”

Mr Kempton added the Crisafulli Government’s investment in world-class visitor experiences – through Destination 2045 - is delivering big results.

Hosted by the Australian Tourism Council, the Australian Tourism awards are the nation’s premier tourism industry accolades, recognising the very best operators, attractions, experiences and destinations across Australia.

These national wins reinforce Queensland’s position as the Home of the Holiday – a place where world-class experiences, operators and destinations set the benchmark for unforgettable travel.

Minister for the Environment and Tourism Andrew Powell said the results cemented Queensland’s reputation as the Home of the Holiday.

“A huge congratulations to all of our winners and nominees, your achievements showcase the very best of Queensland and made it a truly proud and successful night for our state,” Minister Powell said.
