The school shared a video on social media this week featuring students greeting each other in their own languages, a simple but powerful reminder of the many cultures represented across the school community.

This year’s Harmony Week theme, “Everyone Belongs,” is at the heart of the celebrations, encouraging inclusion, respect and understanding among students and staff.

Throughout the week, the school has hosted a range of activities designed to bring cultures together, from music and storytelling to food and dance, giving students the opportunity to learn from one another and connect.

A standout event is the annual Harmony Day cook-up, led by Community Education Counsellor Janet Ross-Kelly.

While traditionally centred around Indigenous foods, this year’s menu has expanded, with students preparing and sharing dishes from a variety of cultures including Indian, Tongan, Thai and Vietnamese.
