WATCH THE VIDEO: Surfers brave crocs, stingers and a cyclone to catch an FNQ wave

Surfers braved the threat of crocodiles and stingers south of Port Douglas last Friday as a category four tropical cyclone hit the Far North Queensland coast, producing rare waves inside the Great Barrier Reef.
Cairns-based content producer Jeremy Britton filmed surfers at Rocky Point between Wangetti and Ellis beaches at about 2pm that day.
Normally best known for tourists pulling over and making rock statues, the point break was producing an about 1m swell as Tropical Cyclone Narelle passed through near Coen.
Mr Britton stopped off on his way back to Cairns from Port Douglas and filmed several surfers who had dusted off their boards to brave the waters.
Most people who commented on the post were concerned about crocs and stingers in the area.
Remember, always stay Crocwise in croc country.
