Tropic Wings answers tourism travel woes
Tropic Wings Transfers
Tropic Wings Cairns Tours & Charters has announced the launch of a dedicated airport transfer service connecting Cairns Airport to Cairns City, Palm Cove, Port Douglas, and surrounding resorts.
In what is welcome news for the tourism sector, the new service gives visitors a reliable, sustainable way to travel between Cairns Airport and their destination, and gives OTAs, inbound tour operators, and accommodation providers a locally owned, operationally proven transfers partner for the corridor, backed by more than 40 years of regional operations.
Director of Sales and Marketing of CaPTA Group Ben Woodward said Tropic Wings has been moving people through Tropical North Queensland for over 40 years.
“We know this region, we know what operators and guests need, and we have the infrastructure and the fleet to deliver it reliably from day one. This is a natural extension of what we already do,’’ he said.
Two new services will be offered: a Scheduled Transfer Service with timetables aligned to flight arrivals and departures, and a Private Transfer option for guests seeking an exclusive vehicle experience. Both are available for pick up and drop off, with accommodation coverage across Cairns City, Palm Cove and Port Douglas.
Following the unfortunate recent closure of Exemplar Coaches and Limousines, Tropic Wings is well positioned to service the region with a reliable transfer option, high quality vehicles and impeccable service.
Founded in 1981 as part of the Woodward family's CaPTA Group, Tropic Wings brings decades of operational experience and an established relationship with the region's accommodation providers, inbound operators, and distribution partners.
The company currently operates Queensland's largest and youngest coach fleet in the touring sector, with vehicles averaging just 18 months old.
