Craiglie man suffers significant head injury after ladder fall

A 53-year-old man is recovering in a stable condition in Cairns Base Hospital after sustaining a head injury from a ladder fall in Craiglie, near Port Douglas on Tuesday afternoon.
A QAS spokeswoman said emergency services were called to a private residence in Craiglie at 2:30pm after reports a man had fallen from height.
“A male has reportedly fallen from a ladder and suffered significant head injuries,” she said.
“Two crews and the rescue helicopter attend the scene.”
The man was airlifted to Cairns Hospital via the Rescue 510 helicopter in a serious condition.
