Smithfield Senior Sergeant Ed Lukin has just addressed media in relation to the ongoing search and rescue operation of a 54-year-old woman missing in waters at Mossman Gorge.
Sgt Lukin confirmed the search continues and that the woman still remains unlocated.

The search for a woman missing in waters at Mossman Gorge has moved into a fourth day.
Queensland Police just confirmed with Newsport, that the search is "ongoing" for the missing 54 year-old who has not been seen since just before 2pm last Friday.
The rain has finally eased in the Mossman area making current search conditions a little bit more favourable.

A QAS spokesperson has confirmed the rescue helicopter being used in the search for a missing 54 year-old woman at Mossman Gorge has now returned to Cairns for the day.
QLD Police confirmed with Newsport moments ago, that the "search remains ongoing" and that all on scene units and responders still haven't been able to locate the missing woman.
QLD Police confirmed the search for the missing woman will continue tomorrow morning.
A search and rescue mission has been in place since just before 2pm on Friday, when a bystander reported that a swimmer had gotten into some difficulty in waters at the gorge.

A QAS spokesperson confirmed with Newsport just seconds ago the search for the 54 year-old woman missing at Mossman gorge continues and that she is still yet to be located.
A rescue helicopter continues to help with the search and rescue mission along with Police, Police divers and members of the SES. Drone technology is also being used to try and locate the missing woman.

Queensland Police has just confirmed with Newsport that the search for the missing 54 year-old woman continues at Mossman Gorge and that she is still yet to be located.

The search for a woman that went missing while swimming at Mossman Gorge on Friday afternoon just before 2pm has now entered its third day.
Queensland Police told Newsport moments ago that search and rescue responders, including Police, Police divers, SES and others are back on scene and that the search resumed this morning for the missing 54 year-old woman.
Newsport will continue to update the search efforts throughout the day.

The search for a missing 54 year-old woman who is believed to have been swept downstream just before 2pm yesterday in waters at Mossman Gorge has been called off for today.
QLD Police just moments ago confirmed to Newsport that rising waters at the gorge and extremely dangerous currents contributed to the combined search team, including Police divers and the SES having to suspend today's search just minutes ago.
Police said the search for the missing woman will resume as soon as possible tomorrow morning.

Queensland Police just moments ago told Newsport that the 54 year-old woman reported missing in waters at Mossman Gorge yesterday still remains unlocated.
Search teams continue to work in terribly wet and treacherous conditions in a bid to locate her as quickly as possible.

The search continues this morning for a female swimmer that was swept away in waters just before 2pm yesterday afternoon at Mossman Gorge.
Just moments ago a QAS spokesperson told Newsport the 54 year-old woman is still yet to be located.
Multiple search teams, including the Swiftwater Rescue Unit, SES and others using multiple resources including vessels, aircraft, drones and land search techniques continue to scour the waters and banks of the gorge in a bid to find the woman.
Police said late last night they hold "concerns for her welfare" and that they are in contact with the missing woman's family.

A female swimmer in her 40s or 50s that was reported missing at Mossman Gorge around 2pm this afternoon is still yet to be located.
Just moments ago a QAS spokesperson told Newsport that the woman remains missing with emergency services including a rescue helicopter having searched for her for the past two and a half hours.
Those on scene are expected to search until nightfall. If the missing person is not located the search will resume at first light tomorrow.

A QAS spokesperson has amended their earlier comments to Newsport, to confirm that only one person was originally missing this afternoon at Mossman Gorge - not two.
QAS received a statement that two people were missing at Mossman Gorge just after 2pm this afternoon however, they've confirmed with Newsport the information they received on scene was incorrect and that one person remains missing - not two.

Newsport can confirm that emergency services continue to try and locate two people, after the pair were swept downstream in Mossman Gorge waters close to an hour ago.
A QAS spokesperson just moments ago confirmed with Newsport, that one of the missing persons is a female, age unknown, while the age and sex of the second missing person also remains unknown.
Emergency services received a call from a bystander just before 2pm this afternoon that the two swimmers had come into difficulty following strong currents and rising waters at the gorge.

A female, age unknown, remains missing after going swimming this afternoon at Mossman Gorge.
On the same day Police issued a reminder to be safe around local swimming holes it's understood the female became trapped near rocks in rising waters at the Gorge.
Newsport understands the female has been missing for the past 30-40 minutes and that emergency services are on scene trying to locate her.
Just days ago emergency services attended to two other seperate rescues at the same location.
Newsport will update the story as news comes to hand.
