Be 'Croc Wise' says Wonga Beach local after cheeky croc observed playing hide and seek near water's edge
STAY SAFE

A Wonga Beach resident has reminded locals to be ‘Croc Wise’ after observing a curious crocodile that played hide and seek just metres from the water’s edge.
William O’Brien took to social media just a short time ago to remind locals to be extremely cautious near local waters.
“Croc spotted on Wonga Beach yesterday morning was only 10 mts (sic) off waters edge about, 13ft (in length) or (three to four metres),” Mr O’Brien noted.
“Watch any young children near waters edge, this croc stayed around for more than an hour, (it) kept bobbing up and disappearing.”
Just over a week ago a small croc was spotted inside the nets of Four Mile beach, which caused it to be closed for a number hours as per normal protocol.
