Douglas Shire lovebirds will continue to exchange plenty of chocolates and flowers right throughout the day for what’s described as the most romantic day of the year.

Local restaurants and other outlets are sure to enjoy the patronage of locals that take the opportunity to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Iconic venues like Rex Smeal park is sure to accommodate couples, too, keen to enjoy a wine and a sunset on a day established, to celebrate, love.

Among those that got into the spirit earlier today were the awesome Ray White Port Douglas team.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day and to harness and foster goodwill and positive community spirit the team surprised locals and tourists alike from 6.30am this morning by paying for every single person’s coffee that ordered a brew from Captain and Co Espresso in Port Douglas.
