A reminder there will be a number of street and road closures when the Oceania Triathlon Cup and championships take place across Port Douglas tomorrow.

More than 200 participants will complete a 10km run along Macrossan St and the Esplanade, a 40km ride down Port Douglas Road and surrounds and a 1500 metre swim at four mile beach as they all chase $10,000 in prizemoney.

Douglas Shire Council has advised tomorrow’s changed road conditions include:
• Port Douglas Road will be closed from Mahogany Street to Macrossan Street from 7:45am to 11am – Detour via Davidson St /Wharf Street.
• Garrick street, between Mowbray Street & Macrossan Street will be closed from 7:45am – 11am.
• Mowbray Street from the Esplanade to Davidson Street will be closed from 7:45am – 11am.
• Macrossan Street from the Esplanade to Wharf Street outbound lane only. Inbound lane will be closed from 6am to 11am.
