Port Douglas reef operator tops TripAdvisor again

A Port Douglas reef charter operator is celebrating its second consecutive annual award from the world’s largest travel guidance platform, TripAdvisor.
ABC Snorkel Charters, known for its maximum 12-person snorkel tours of the Great Barrier Reef, has taken out the ‘Number One Top Experience in Australia’ for the second year running, as well as Number Two spot in the South Pacific.
ABC thanked its customers – who ultimately decide the awards through their TripAdvisor reviews – for again choosing the snorkel charter business.
“Wow! - Best of the Best 2023!” ABC’s owners posted on their social media.
“ABC Snorkel Charters Port Douglas has won three amazing awards! We have been ranked as Australia's #1 tourism experience in TripAdvisor’s 2023 awards for the second consecutive year!” they added.
“But here's the big news: In the Worldwide Snorkelling & Water Sports category, ABC was the only Australian company to make it into the top 25, securing an impressive #6 ranking in the Travellers' Choice Best of the Best Awards!”
The Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best ‘Things to Do’ are taken from analysing 12 months of TripAdvisor reviews. ABC’s awards were under the Snorkelling and Water Sports category.
“Experiences turn travellers into adventurers, connecting them with the local community and giving them unforgettable stories for years to come,” Tripadvisor’s Kate Urquhart said.
“These awards are a testament to the businesses dedicated to ensuring the Tripadvisor community enjoys the most memorable trips, and we’re grateful to everyone who took the time to share their reviews and help fellow travellers plan their next escape.”
