This morning, a peculiar incident occurred as a cane bin toppled onto its side, creating an unexpected obstacle at the entrance of the Port Douglas roundabout, blocking the flow of traffic.

Witnesses reported that the driver had parked on the Mossman side of the roundabout and activated the hazard lights before the accident. However, the exact cause of the cane bin overturning remains unknown

Local authorities quickly responded to the scene to assess the situation and manage traffic.
