A local Craiglie superstar still has a smile the size of the Sydney harbour bridge on her face after gaining a wonderful acknowledgement at a recent awards function in the Far North.

Amber Dolphin has worked for a local electrical business for the past two decades and it’s that longevity, contribution and success that landed her a nomination at the Cairns business women’s club awards just days ago in Cairns.

Amber was a finalist in the small business category at the function in which she told Newsport “was full of inspiring women making a difference in the world”.

“I’ve been with Dolphin electrical from the start and I’m proud to have made a contribution to its growth and success,” Amber said.

“In particular I’m really happy the business has had the opportunity and provided work experience and apprenticeship placements for local youth.”

The Cairns Business Women’s Club is a member-based group that has been operating for nearly 40 years to network, educate and celebrate the success of all women in business.

They hold an annual awards function with eight categories to recognise the contribution of members from private enterprise, public sector and community services.
