So, who has been enjoying the delights of the Taste Port Douglas festival?

Things kicked off on Friday night with the massive event launch at the Sheraton.

Since then, festival and food lovers have enjoyed a stack of events in which they’ve literally had the opportunity to sink their teeth into.

The iconic long lunch again proved a massive drawcard as did the Icons of Melbourne dinner at Harrisons restaurant on Friday night.

The Masterclass: Caviar and Champagne at Wrasse and Roe restaurant and gold medal winning masterclass at the Sheraton were also very well attended.

Last night, the A night of fire, a Flames of the Forest event was held and the feedback was absolutely tremendous.

Many patrons also took the opportunity to attend the Café del Mar sunset sessions where attendees mixed with celebrity chefs, enjoyed yummy  roving canapes, vibrant food stations, delicious drinks and some fine tunes by talented DJs.

If that wasn’t to wrap your laughing gear around many festival goers also lapped up the sold out La Dolce Vita: An Italian Feast with Guy Gross yesterday which proved a real feast for the senses.

Foodies tried Guy’s famous tiramisu and heard stories about the influences of Italian cooking in Australia.

Right now, hundreds have already gathered and continue to gather at the Sheraton for the grand finale of Taste Port Douglas – the Sheraton Festival village.

There are live food demonstrations, food and wine stalls, masterclasses, junior foodies’ classes, presenters, industry chats, pop up bars, live music and lots more.

The event runs until 5pm this afternoon at the Sheraton.

Tickets are $35 per adult and $15 per child aged between 4-17 years.
