A woman in her 50s was transported to Mossman Hospital in a stable condition just a short time ago following a bicycle crash near Sorrento Cresent and Port Douglas Road.

A QAS spokesperson told Newsport one unit attended the scene and treated her for multiple abrasions and “possible head injuries” just after 6.30am this morning.

No further information is available at this time.

UPDATE: 2.32PM

Newsport understands the woman was transported to Cairns Hospital a short time ago where she continues to be treated for a neck complaint and concussion issues.
