NUMBER 4

HOLLYWOOD HEART THROB

Our fourth most read story of the year involves none other than the man himself, Matthew McConaughey.

Earlier this year the Texan born actor told fellow Hollywood friend and actress Kate Hudson that he was doing their live Instagram chat direct from a location in Far North of Queensland.

It didn’t take long to put two and two together with some local residents messaging Newsport to inform us they had spotted the actor simply going about his business quietly around Port Douglas.

His latest visit to Douglas came months after the Douglas Shire played home to couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, while Bloom filmed scenes for a movie that was partially filmed in the Far North.
