Rare footage of a Far North Queensland tree kangaroo has been captured by traffic management workers and posted online by Douglas Shire Council.
The Lumholtz's tree kangaroo has been regularly visiting the Alexandra Range Lookout region, where ongoing roadworks mean traffic controllers have been spending a lot of time there across the past year.
“FNQ Traffic Management says this curious Lumholtz's tree kangaroo is becoming a regular visitor to Alexandra Range, just north of the lookout,” the council states.
“Please take care when driving the range - let's keep our furry friends safe!”
