The road to Silky Oaks Lodge is closed until further notice after a truck knocked down powerlines onto the road.

Finlayvale Road has a road block not far past Anichs Bridge, with two traffic-control officers turning cars around who are trying to get up to the popular tourist destination at the end of the street.

Ergon Energy has put out an “emergency outage” statement.

“The priority for our crews will be to make this site safe,” the warning reads.

“A power pole has been snapped, so emergency repairs are required.

“Once crews have fully assessed the damage we’ll have an estimated fix time.”
