A 17-year-old Smithfield boy has been arrested after a Holloways Beach home was broken into and a car and cash were stolen.
Police raided the teenager’s Smithfield home on Saturday morning, where the boy was arrested without further incident.
The house on Hibiscus Lane, Holloways Beach, was broken into in the early hours of Saturday morning, with a Hyundai I30, cash, and other personal items stolen.
Police allegedly found several of these items at the Smithfield house.
The teenager has been charged with entering a dwelling and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear before the Cairns Childrens Court on Wednesday (August 27).
Investigations are continuing into others allegedly involved in the incident.
